🤑Market volume

The target market is Seed, Strategic and Private Rounds, about $13 billion invested for 2022.

As seen from the slide, the amount of fundraising in the final Public rounds significantly decreased after the beginning of the market downturn in 2022. This indicates that projects are not ready to conduct TGE immediately after completing rounds and launch during a falling market. Most startups have postponed their TGE dates for a year. Users are reluctant to invest in projects in Public rounds, realizing this. The overwhelming majority of platforms currently do not conduct IDOs

Investment mechanics with token purchase as an entry ticket to IDO platform, along with Public rounds with a high percentage of lockup on TGE, inevitably lead to price dumping, which sent investors into a steep peak.

Public rounds market stopped.

But has the entire venture capital market stopped?

This graph shows the volume of Public rounds including Private rounds, and the situation is radically different because before the FTX crash, the monthly investment volumes were sometimes equal to those in 2021. This suggests that only the market for Public rounds and IDO platforms has stalled.

Overall, the volume of all investments in 2022 amounted to almost 42 billion dollars across 1966 projects, which is an improvement from the 2021 bull cycle, with 40 billion dollars invested across 1333 projects. Regardless of the overall market capitalization, the number of new projects and investments in them is increasing.

The driver of this growth is venture capital.

The Early Stages rounds, Series A rounds, as well as unknown rounds, occupy a large share of the venture capital investment market. This indicates that venture capitalists are interested in early-stage investment in promising projects with a greater likelihood of receiving multiple returns on their invested capital.

The majority of investments go to infrastructure projects, WEB3 and CEDEFI projects. This includes everything related to the development of the market, financing, and integration with traditional financial markets.
